can be used with Synology Surveillance Station. 1) use the App CAMVIEW to connect toe camera with your local Network 2) remember the Default Password which you Need to Change from "admin" to "xxxxxx" 3) Look in your router for the IP of the camera 4) LOCK (!) the camera for Internet Connection - it will send the live Picture to China... 5) Open Synology Surveillance Station. 6) Go to "add new camera" 7) enter - a Name for the camera, - the IP address, - "onviv Camera" as Modell - port: 8999 - user "admin" - Password: "xxxxxx" (your Password which you changed from admin to "xxxxxxx" - Video Format: H.264 (MJPEG is selectable but does not work Save, enjoy!

Q: does it support onvif protocol?

samazw For sure it does. It uses port 8999. Tested on Synology Surveillance Station.

The delivery was very fast. The form-factor is a bit bigger than the original NodeMcu, but the soldering and pinout is equal to original NodeMcu. Programming with Arduino IDE is easy as usual: Plug in, install CH341 driver if not yet done, select NodeMCU(ESP8266 12e) and go for it!

Setup is only possible with a smartphone. Connection to WIFI is done via QR codes, generated on the screen in an app. If password and/or SSID of WIFI is long, connection is impossible (they must fit in a one QR, because camera take only one QR, but app generates more then one if SSID+password is long). ONVIF via 554 port support is poor, but still is possible to view live video with rtsp:// link with vlc, iSpy ant etc. It is not possible to change default password. There is no HTML support of any kind. there is an open port 8001, but no GET on it. Telnet 23 port is also open, but username and password is not given.

samazw Why use the cloud? If you have a homeserver like Synology or QNAP, just use Surveillance Station software and connect the camera using onvif. No cloud, no additional payment, just fun. Also an alternative firmware is a solution...

Hi, about 5 days ago I received 2 DG-MYQ cameras, these are the worst cameras that I have bought, it's a problem to activate them, until now only one I could make it work but it has to be connected to a cloud server, the problem is that I disconnected it and I was not able to reactivate it again. (none of the 2 I can make them work) lost time, and money. The server of the cloud is very expensive does not specify the prices well, according to me the least expensive charges you $ 6 Dlls per month but I believe that they are only 7 days. Personally I do not recommend these cameras. The only good thing about these cameras is the video and the audio.
