Balancing is completely ineffective if cells have more than 0.08V of difference. I order a second unit to make sure that the first one was not faulty. But issue is with PCB design. In fact, balancing occurs only during charging and starts at 4.2 while charging stops once a cell reach 4.28V BUT balancing then stops as well. Cannot recommend this PCB if you need balancing.

Auto mode is slow and useless, the other modes have a range sensing that works quite fast (excepted AC mode). For some obscure reasons Hz and % are available using 2 different knob positions. Also LCD brightness is not uniform. There are clear room for improvements in those area ! Batteries are not provided. Overall it is still a very good unit, better than all of my other multimeters but the quirks above makes it a bit unfinished.

nospam099rob After replacing the LED which died after 4mo, I measure 2500lm in bright mode and 600lm in low light using my Sekonic meter.

It would be perfect with some instructions. Still unsure how to use the MPPT part but I don't really need this feature. I used as a step down in lab bench. Top for this usage !

Very strong light and that is the best point of this light. On mine sample, the focus ring is a bit loose in the sense it may vibrate slightly producing an almost permanent tinkling while riding even on flat roads. Design wise, I think the battery position is weird and adds a lot of height to the otherwise rather compact light. Fixation and adjustments are rather poor. It assumes user would want to fix it only on the handlebar and even there the thing might rotate and bumps as the light weight is completely unbalanced. I think Xanes should clearly revise the fixation. I am currently evaluating different option to cut and strap bottom part to tailor it to my needs.

Received by mistake the gray version instead of the color version. Still nice looks like silver. Now I would need to test it outside.
