Q: Does this have blue or brown switches? Listing says blue, but picture shows brown.

banggood This is not about the color of the switch, it is about the type of switch. While these are only copies of the Cherry, I recommend you google "Cherry MX Brown". I purchased the Blue, and I received the Blue switches (on a black keyboard).

Q: Can it test a gigabit (Cat 5e / Cat 6) cable? Or will it only guarantee a 100 Mbps link?

mysticaldork It can only test whether you have continuity between one connector/end, and the other connector/end. It cannot check for noise, crosstalk, link speed, or any other problems, only that the connectors are connected.
