Kevin152 Try changing cotton rod for new one and if that doesn't help you will have to tear it down and replace ultrasonic transducer. When buying the transducer search for 16mm diameter size.

Kevin152 You can use it to plug 12V appliances in your car, but you have to solder wires and connector for appliance to this plug by yourself.

Kevin152 Is this just step down converter or is it also step up?

Kevin152 I think that it is possible to spot weld nickel on silver. You can try, the worst it can happen is that it nickel won't stick to the silver.
