Q: will these work with alpaca switches?

Asked by BG411311384 on 2021-02-26 11:09:06

akex005 These will not work natively with alpacas because the PCB is for 3 pin switches, alpacas have 2 extra legs making it a 5 pin so it will not work unless you chop off the extra 2 legs. Time consuming but doesn't affect anything significantly, the legs are there to reduce the wobbling but it should be fine if you want to do this.

Q: Can I change the keycaps if I want to? what model is indicated

Asked by BG248441481 on 2020-07-08 08:20:48

akex005 You can change the keycaps definitely, but the 63 key layout means there might be a smaller range for you to choose from because of the narrow right shift key and unusual layout. Just be careful its the right layout.

akex005 There are optical gateron switches on the market which you can buy for this keybaord however I don't think there will be an option to purchase with yellow switches pre applied on the board.
