rromano001 Low range has a full scale of 2A, instrument has 4 digit so it can display 1mA increment on both AC or DC measurement. AC is stable and measure current both AC (average value) or also average DC without sign detection. About precision and stability I report at almost is impossible to appreciate 1mA, zeroing instrument it has 2 3 mA dead band on short term. Measuring a small intensity like 10-20mA instrument is also non linear. Applied a measured DC current of 12mA DC: - on AC scale it measure 12mA stable regardless of current direction. - DC scale require zeroing instrument without current on clamp, just after zero display an offset of -2mA - immediate measure show values from 7 to 20 mA - reversing instrument the values are -10 -12 then continue changing. - In a few minutes offset raise from -2 to -12mA. IMHO on DC current not less than 50 mA can be measured without continous recalibration, may be you are more lucky and get a less noisy and lower drift one. Instrument is cheap and cannot ask them precision of expensive probes, I am very satisfied about performance
