Start at back, giving the next strips a 5mm overlap and wrap the leading edge. Cut away tape at ailerons and where stiffeners are to be glued, do not cut/damage wing. Glue the stiffeners, then tape the top surfaces and finally wrap leading edge (so,m that wind does not pick it up). Tape is very light and very rigid. Combat planes use at least one strip of glass fibre reinforced tape but you will only be able to use gf tape on top surface because lower wing has those stiffeners. See Armin wing build on Ed O'Bierne's wonderful 'Experimental Airlines' site for tape technique .
