Amplifies well, however, the insert in the ear occludes or blocks the ear canal. This results in wearers voice being very loud in own head, together with the sound of breathing. This make the device unsuitable for my use. The problem might be alleviated by having holes in the ear piece bung to allow equalisation and dissipate sound of wearers voice and breathing
