This tool is a must and a life saver if you need to repair ribbon cables. No other tools can be used. Even if the axe is not perfectly perpendicular , it is suitable for its job. The only issue is that you need to find a suitable iron that is able to fit the tool. Almost no iron has this kind of attachment. Be sure the diameter is the same of your iron tip. A NOTE FOR THE MANUFACTURER: It would be much much better, to change the axe attachment to a Velleman soldering iron compatible tip that almost everyone has.
