This is a well designed kit which produces very satisfying results once you have it assembled and functioning. I am very pleased with the results I am able to produce with it. There are some challenges which buyers should be aware of. My kit came without any assembly instructions of any kind and I did have some difficulty until I found this YouTube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRwd9cPRf18 and this guidance on assembly - http://www.instructables.com/id/GearBest-Laser-Engraver-DIY-Kit-Assembly-Instructi/ In addition to having no assembly instructions, there were difficulties in finding appropriate software to control the engraver, but these were overcome by using T2laser software from here: http://t2graphics.weebly.com/ T2laser software is available for Windows PCs as a trial version with some limitations to enable the user to be sure that the product works for them prior to buying the software. The purchase price is also very reasonable and support is excellent. My final problem related to the laser coming on unexpectedly when switching from the editing screen to the laser control screen. This was resolved by installing a 1 K ohm pull down resistor between the 'S' pin of the laser and ground. I use Inkscape software to produce artwork - https://inkscape.org/en/ This software has very rich functionality which is free and open source.
