it works out of the box with cc3d, just plug it and that's it. I used this FTDI adapter ( http://www.banggood.com/FT232RL-FTDI-USB-To-TTL-Serial-Converter-Adapter-Module-For-Arduino-p-917226.html ) to configure the OSD, it works :) There is four solder pads on the back, it might be for sensing voltage... I saw at some site saying that these solder pads are for : Pad1: RSSI from receiver Pad2: Video voltage Pad3: Current sensor Pad4: Main voltage But i am not sure, i did not try it yet,if somebody knows please confirm

I use this on my 3S quad with CC3D. Could not get this working properly at first the OSD would disappear and video would cut out as soon as I applied throttle on the transmitter. This was fixed by doing two things: make sure your camera ground cable runs through this OSD on the analog side not just the video cable. The OSD board needs a common ground with your camera and/or video transmitter. If problems persist add a 10V 470uF capacitor to OSD board on the digital (CC3D) side on 5V+ and ground. These capacitors can be ordered from Banggood. The OSD disappears because the voltage dips below 5 volts and the capacitor fixes that. Other than these minor issues this was a good purchase. In order to reprogram and update the board you need a FTDI USB adapter. If the software claims it's unable to connect to the board try pressing the button on the OSD board at the same time as pressing the connect button in the PC software. If you need a reliable OSD for your quad or plane I can definitely recommend this if you're not afraid of working on it a bit. Good luck!
