I finally got around to switching to the orange shell I ordered, however the instructions say you need a T3 and T4 Torx bit. Mine were definitely T5 for the outside screw and T4 for the inside ones on both the iron and the replacement screws that came with the shell. Other than that, the only tricky part of reassembly is needing to hold the internal ring part towards the front, instructions show tweezers being used but I managed using a small screwdriver instead.

after I received my replacement case it take me 10 minutes to install it and I love the way my ts100 looks now!

excellent construction. the pvc body may not be as rugged as the original aluminum one but still i love the see through body. it comes with buttons ( black ) screws and name plates. for those who haven't bought ts100 and thinking about the size its much thinner than 18650 li-ion ( Lil larger than AA size battery) and lil longer than two 18650 cells ( with ts bc2 tip)

I've bought the transparent version of the TS100 shells. It comes in a straight forward packaging with all the screws, buttons, stickers and a small manual. The only part that is not included is the little foam pad with double sided tape that comes build in the original shell. Use the original foam pad to secure the PCB in the shell. To make sure the iron is working fine after installation, you have to push the copper flange at the front of the TS100 to the front end while closing the shell. Don't use force to close the shell, without pushing the copper part to prevent it from bending!
