I have the 128 LED and it is not 'bright' like a 500w halogen light. However, if you think about a suburban street light, good enough to see all around it but you need to angle your watch towards it to read your analogue watch face. I have mine on a wall and use it to fill the bins and put a key in a door. Works fine for that. The higher you place it, the more diffuse the light. If you are looking for 'daylight' white light, then solar is not the way to go. Advice, go for the 128 LED if brightness is your issue.
