Many thanks Banggood for the replacement! Neither unit works with a USB-A to USB-C adapter (Apple MacBook Air 2014 10.13.6 OS), but that is OK as I will give to family. It took some back and forth but Banggood support did the right thing by me. Other than the fact it will not work with the adapter it is a great device. It works with my work computer and my Samsung Tablet connected with USB-C just fine. IMPORTANT NOTE: Product does not work with USB-A to USB-C adapters (I tried 2 kinds). It will not provided power to USB-A thumb drives under these circumstances. Other than that a great unit. I am awaiting a M.2 drive to install.
