This keyboard base was the perfect starter mechanical keyboard for me. Once I put my switches and keycaps on, it sounded pretty good without any modifications. Since I am nervous to take apart the case and risk breaking the tri-mode switch, I am very happy that it already sounds good stock. My switches were factory lubed, I am sure that made a difference. The RGB is bright and fun. I have not used it long enough to attest for battery life. So far I am very happy with the looks and performance. Really great value for the price.
