As with all cheaper small cameras, they're never perfect.
So also for this type of camera, the video quality is average (haven't tested sound quality or all functions yet).
I can't say much about the motion detect quality as i haven't been able to try it yet.
The main reason why i wanted this camera, was because of the night vision/WiFi.
With many small cameras there seems to be a huge drop in fps (frames per second) when night vision is enabled.
The XANES HDQ18 doesn't suffer from this, BUT my camera sample DID come with a flaw; Night vision constantly goes OFF and ON, every 3 ~ 4 seconds.
I'm sad that i can't test the rest of the camera now, because (for me) the camera is of no use now.

AnotherCustomer How is the performance with the IR LEDS enabled? I've owned various mini spy camera's and on some there was a very noticable decrease in the amount of frames per second when enabling the night vision. Other drawbacks were an unclear image with some (motion)blur trails and the image becoming pixelated every now and then. The XANES HDQ18 which i shortly had didn't had these type of drawbacks but unfortunately it had another problem where the IR LEDS frequently went OFF and ON by themself...

AnotherCustomer If you read the description it says 180°degrees (though it would've been better if they mentioned both horizontal and vertical FOV)

AnotherCustomer So you think that all H264/MP4 1080P cameras are equally perfect? That's funny, but not true. Furthermore, 1080P doesn't say much about the overal quality, as it only defines the amount of drawn pixels and the type of scan (Progressive). If you find the overal video quality to be bad, this is usually related to the type of compression, bitrate and other factors,
