D: the description says the female head has the wires but the pictures show the wires on the male head?

donaldsneffe This is a low voltage servo and should not be controlled directly by a normal receiver with 5 or 6 Volt. The Orlandoo ESC has a seperate plug for this servo, it will not be connected directly to receiver. The plug is a 1.25 mm 3-pin micro plug. You can buy adapters to normal servo standard plugs or crimp standard servo plugs to the servo wires. Take care of polarity, those micro servos coming with 1.0mm, 1.25mm and 1.5 mm JST and Molex type plugs come with inconsistant order of wires, plugging the servo with wrong polarity to the receiver can damage the servo!

Philbo427 In the pictures I don’t see a steering servo, esc, battery or motor. Do these items come in this kit? The description says it does but it’s not in the pictures.

Philbo427 The electronics are in a plastic box that is not waterproof but is splash proof to some degree. It has holes for wires and linkage to come out. So if you are driving in the rain then it should be fine but I would not submerge the truck as water will go into the plastic box and damage the electronics. If you really want it waterproof I suggest replacing all the electronics to waterproof or watch videos on how to waterproof RC electronics. You can’t seal the box completely because of the steering linkage which has to move. You can block some of the holes or use a chassis mount steering servo set up then seal the box but I still wouldn’t submerge it for fear of damaging the stock electronics.

Philbo427 As Periphery said this is ready to run but be careful what version you buy as there is a kit version sold as well. Some people like the kit version. Not sure why. Might be so they can assembly the truck them selves or put in their own electronics? I found mine to be assembled very well, just one stripped screw on the bottom of the battery tray which is not a big deal.

Philbo427 I haven’t seen upgrade parts to make it more durable but from what I read the issue people have with a gear breaking possibly might be from shifting on the fly. Best to come to a full stop then shift, give it a little gas to let the gears settle then you can take off.
