Unfortunately the battery holder box were missing from my package so i had to improvise my own. The build instructions were ok for building the base of the car, but had no information about connecting the electronics, so i had to figure it out by myself. Fortunately the images around the internet and the review pictures here helped a lot. The nodemcu after a firmware update and some tweaking works nice, fun to experiment with.

Delivery was quick, comes in a cardboard box which was crushed but content still fine. Is quickly assembled, includes a letter for assembling the motor and baseboard. Lasercuts are a bit rough but fine. For the Nodemcu, you have to find some matching holes or drill your own, it was designed for arduino i think. Tires on the wheels are a bit deformed, so they wobble. Maybe solvable with a bit glue to allign the tire rim on the wheel... Comes with arduino-based firmware "doit_esp_arduino_v2.1", not the lua code they published on github, seems very fresh :) Includes motor encoder disks. Can be used with "HC-020K Double Speed Measuring Module" SKU970327

Very nice kit. The description of the mechanical assembly is perfectly adequate. For the electrical wiring must use the building instructions from the Internet. The same goes for the app. The binding of app to Wifi Car has not work for me immediately. The response to control commands takes place sometimes greatly delayed. My wish would be an improvement in response times and a detailed description (for beginners) of the connection between Wifi Car and app.
