UVS9 PLUS is a Good Radio with a cheap price but some technical parameters has to be written with my experience.. this radio is not a 10W radio. my test result as follows.. with its original rubber decky Antenna i have read maximum 5 to 6W in VHF145 Mhz, and 4W in UHF 433 mhz. (Both are Amateur frequencies) Test Equipment - Surecom SWR Meter second thing it's not a tri band Handy.. it's frequency setting coming default as dual band (136 -174 mhz ) and 400 - 520 mhz) Chirp has no support for this model but we can program it with using Radioaddity UV5RX3 model in Chirp and with UV5r Data cable.. Battery is little heavier than UV5r it has 2800 mAh Power and ofcourse USB charging and so and so.. Display readability is little bit lower than UV5r..Not a good backlight design.. for it's price it's a good handy for Amateurs but lot of wrong spec are published with it unnecessarily..

it's a very little Radio but delivering VHF145Mhz about 20w Max on Fixed outdoor antenna with SWR 1.0 and 16W Max on Vertical Car Antenna with SWR 1.4. Voice quality is good. if seller include a data cable with it will be good job bcz mannual setup is somewhat confusing.. good for mobile purpose and easy fixable in car..if anyone looking for a fixed base station then iam not recommend this one bcz it's not that much durable or sturdy built..

logickarad yes . it's working well and getting around 20w output through my car antenna.. it's ok but not fit for long time communication as it's get hot quickly..

logickarad if you have a good antenna it will deliver upto 20W

good radio with harmonics all over the place, but for the price it's ok, does 10 watts, was not able to squeeze 25watts.

logickarad update Antenna Gain is not as described in specifications.. it's has very low gain..70% of total Power only radiating through this antenna..

Today my order (2x uv-9p plus) arrived. I order this model because i already have 3 different baofeng models (with RF power 5W/1W) and i wanted what the site advertising as "RF power 10W/1W" category. Unfortunately i had a disappointing surprise. The manual in the package has different specifications than those written in the site. Triggered by the manual's specifications i measured the RF power and i confirmed that the model i received is not what the site advertises. The strongest measurement i had was 4.3W at 435.000MHz. So if you want to buy this model you have to know that is one more 5W baofeng. Do not buy it if you want to have 10W Rf power.

BG451016433 it's compatible for repeater but need to connect chirp with data cable.. you can use uv5r data cable
