This micro quad uses a Superior Hobby SRP8 FRSky Rx that browns out VERY frequently due to insufficient voltage. The SRP8 has a minimum operating voltage of 5V but this quad runs off a 1S LIPO. Additionally, I noticed that the middle voltage pin powering the Rx board had only about 3.5 volts on it, even when the LIPO was fully charged. So I unsoldered the center V+ Rx pin to break it's connection to the flight controller and then ran a wire from it directly to the LIPO red wire power. Now it works much better and brown outs are far less frequent. Even still this Rx is designed for 5V so is still sub-optimal. Also the prop protection ring is a great idea but is extremely fragile. A nylon one would be much better. Despite these drawbacks I like this little micro quad and the fact that it works with my FRSky radio and is based on Naze32/Cleanflight. Only consideration is that I can't recommend it to anyone unless they have the soldering skills to do the mod above (or the vendor fixes it). Summary: -Weighs only 27.7 grams w/o LIPO -Works well with 380mAH 1S (http://www.banggood.com/Upgraded-25C-3_7V-380MAH-Battery-For-Hubsan-X4-H107-Ladybird--p-69870.html) -Handles well -Fragile protection ring - Should be made of nylon -Serious Rx power design flaw that's 'mostly' fixable with modding -Spare props not included -Camera is decent w/wide angle lens *Would rate 5 stars if no Rx issue and included a nylon prop guard

Do not buy this. It breaks to easy. Get the fatbee instead.

Ultralight cleanflight setup, not a basher but quick and nimble and down right tiny, makes flying through the house a total breeze. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I4U4v3glAk 250 -350 mah lipos are the sweet spot

I had very high hopes for this FrSKY-compatible tiny whoop. But it fell short of my expectations. Throttle response is poor and performance is limited by the lack of thrust. I found myself flying it at more than 60% throttle, which means it has difficulties handling aggressive turns and dives. The camera hinge breaks off when it crashes inverted, and the camera backplate pops out. Other than these flaws, it is still a nice little flyer. FPV video is vivid and wide, great for flying through obstacles. It has great video transmission range too. For more details, please check out my review video.

yeah it works well flashes ok, but really hard to tune, not really a quad for racing around the house, as soon as you hit a wall it just freaks out and cant be controlled. Only a few small hits in and the prop guards are already broken. Not bad for the price but i wouldn't buy again

So I know a ton of folks have not had the best experience with this quadcopter. To be honest, in its stock form it's a bit of a disaster. The prop guard is more fragile than a house of cards, and it will break with even a light crash. The motor protectors also come off at the slightest provocation as if they hate being associated with the quad itself. Thirdly, if the props hit the components on the arms they can be disloged or even lost (recommend a light coat of epoxy just to hold them in place). And finally, if you use a low mAh battery you'll get brownouts after the first 30 seconds of flight time. That said, with a few minor modifications you can actually turn this into a nice little flier and eliminate the problems: 1) cut off the prop guard. It's heavy and useless 2) light epoxy on the components near the props so they don't get cut off by the props. 3) lose/take off the motor caps/guards and either use a small dab of hot glue or small pieces of foam/foam tape to protect the bottom of the motors/wires 4) use a small rubber band to hold the camera to the holder and to hold up the receiver wire 5) Best of all, remove the bottom part of the camera/battery holder and add a small rubber band or two to hold the battery instead. This will save you weight and it will allow you to use a higher capacity battery with potentially higher C rating to eliminate the brownouts with the receiver. do this and you end up with a fairly neat little indoor quad. =) Banana for scale

Small "PCB style" quad, comes completely assembled. F1 flight controller was flashed with Cleanflight version 12.1, the receiver configured as "serial S-bus" type. I don't use Futaba, so will replace it with a Jeti R7nano... 2 blue and 2 red LEDs are nicely placed at the PCBs motor mounts, good for flight orientation of the small model when flying LOS. Camera fixation looks wobbly, so I will replace it with a tight direct fit to the frame.

So this is my second copy of this quadcopter. I managed to fly my other one too hard and popped the back off two motors, one of which I was not able to revive. Since overall this quad is cheaper to buy as a whole than in parts (seriously, the camera and receiver alone justify the total cost), I figured I'd go ahead and just pick up one more. My thoughts from my previous review still stand. Though to add, on this second version I was getting the brownouts more people were seeing, even with the higher mAh batteries. So I did the mod where you solder a small lead from the positive battery lead connection to the positive pin on the receiver directly. That works great. (One note, if you're planning on flashing Betalfight, it uses the Naze board as a target, please do that before soldering the wire to the pin otherwise betaflight won't recognize it after flashing... not sure why, but unsoldering makes it work again and then you can re-solder if needed. ) Oh and one more thing, get yourself some extra props, they break easily. Here are more notes from my previous review which still stand: So I know a ton of folks have not had the best experience with this quadcopter. My 2nd one, just ordered as spare part - it's amazing what's included for this price... But the downside is quality: Some plastic parts and threads are overstressed in delivered condition, the camera holder thread was already cracked... One motor holder shows "white plastic" deformation, indicating material overstress (see pictures). You get what you pay for... But anyway - I would order it again ;-)

For a first try its a nice little quad - this is definitely a mild indoor put-around, but for its purpose it does the job. Prop guard is very fragile - find my improved prop guard/motor mount/motor guard here https://youtu.be/YGDEtD9yTf4 be cautious of the camera plugin - wire is VERY short and easily pulled out of the vtx. I think some minor modifications and eachine has a nice indoor quad here.
