I have already used these a couple of times. I have used them to re-thread some slippers where the "thread" came undone. The thread was some sort of material that was much thicker than a standard thread, but I still could not get it back through the holes in the leather slipper sides and uppers. These needles were perfect for that job. In another instance, in the garage, I was using some heavy fishing line to "sew" together some plastic to some metal. I drilled very small holes, but again I cold not manually "push" the line through the holes. These needles have a big enough eye to take the line and also to fit through the small holes I drilled.
