It was quite tricky to figure out to remove the CD tray mechanism, but it was easy to see that the original wheel was not turning - it had crumbled in place and seized. A bit of googling showed this to be a common problem and and a youtube video soon showed how easily others had fixed the problem. The UK price for this item was £7 plus (around $14 USD). I ordered this from banggood with expectations of a long wait time and either an item that did not fit, or an item that was sub-standard. How wrong I was - The item arrived in 11 days and is much better quality that the original item. Fitting it was easy - took me less than 10-minutes. And then, to my delight, it all works great again! It is the perfect size, and of better quality than the original gear wheel. (the reason why they make replacements I guess). Shipping in time, packaging OK. My Marantz CD52 opens so smooth now! :) Normally this should be compatible with all CDM4 players.
