If it being made of leather keeps you from considering buying this hat, never fear, no animals were killed to make this hat. I wouldn't mind spending money on a polyurethane (PU) hat if that is what is advertised, but I expected real leather and I am very disappointed. What is the difference? Leather wears in, PU wears out. How can you tell if it is leather or plastic besides the smell? Leather doesn't stretch easily, PU does.
