Once again Banggood came up trumps! These brilliant I2C backpacks for lcd modules all arrived in excellent condition. They fit on any lcd module based on the now ubiquitous Hitachi HD44780, regardless of the number of rows or columns and by using a suitable Arduino library such as LiquidCrystalI2C you can get your old LCD module running quickly and save a whopping 12 pins on your microcontroller! I2C address is 0x27. Needless to say all modules worked a treat but all of them neede the contrast screw tweaked as at first no characters were appearing. Great value and great service.
