Naturanolimit Unluckilyit's true. It's plastic and non buffalo bones. I've to put a photo of that.

Very handy, but since these are quite small not very strong. If you need strong hold, consider a larger size

A nice sounding well built pedal, definitely worth the price. Based on online reviews the design seems to be based on Xotic BB preamp. I don't have an original so don't know if that is true.
