roastBeefy Very cool machine - would you share some detail or describe your setup? Also curious why to go with the Insta camera rather than a small tiny whoop style of camera? (I'm a newbie still learning FPV drones)
roastBeefy bro, seeing those solder joints made me shudder, I reacted physically. lol It's fine. After some time of use, check on those to see if they are cracking or otherwise about to fail so you don't get unpleasant surprise one day flying.
roastBeefy would the balance lead be for managing (a) discharge to two devices or (b) charging of the two cells? (i cringed seeing another review with a picture showing two different branded cells in series) how would the included charge controller be different? Curious and learning - thanks!
roastBeefy It is pretty cheap plastic with a weak, narrow primary beam on a comically small product... I think it won't survive a drop from waist height... USD 8.00 is about what it's worth

roastBeefy in the description, they gave you a link to the project... why buy something you didn't learn about how it works? ... They tell you (a) none of the printed parts are included, and (b) exactly what comes with the product in the bill of materials (which makes (a) a redundant courtesy) which does not list a printed manual. Just pointing this out to share perspective from experience to help you level up as a consumer - I've had my share of disappointments from making assumptions about products - such as expecting them to include manuals. (They Should, but I'm betting it helped keep cost down.)

roastBeefy I have these and they are battery powered .. did you long press the power button? (perhaps the batteries in yours are bad?..) if you single press the button labeled power, it will show you the state of charge in 25% intervals with the bottom 4 LEDs showing green (e.g., 75% = 3 green bars)

roastBeefy i think you have to remove the plastic bottom base... it replaces that base. It seems to me if you did that, the screws would line up with the slots.
