Used a laboratory power supply to feed 24V into this module. Output was adjusted to 12V and max current to 1A, to drive a car headlamp. Worked ok even if the supply was raised to 28V or dropped to 21V. No heat issue with this little current yet, not even warm to touch. One of the dual coil soldering looked a bit cold, so I used leaded tin to fix it in minutes. Also the coil itself is not mounted to pcb, not with hot glue, just connected through the coil wires themselfs.
