Its a very simple design. There is a small Fan that runs for about 8 minutes to dry the toothbrushes and then the UV Light stays on for about 10 minutes for sterilization. I was afraid the Charge it up and put it again in the Bathroom would be too much hustle but it comes with a detachable base that makes it very easy to simply remove it from the wall mount , charge it and then put it back on. It also lasts a lot of days , using it up till now about 7 days and it hasn't required charging. Even if the battery needs charging today , it is still a "one charge per week" so its pretty ok.
