Eugene Youcan obtain some usable old 18650 batteries by taking apart old laptop batteries and extract the 18650 cells from there.

Eugene Thecurrent draw would be too high.. so very unlikely. It would power on, but during recording, the ninja would power off.

Eugene Ihave successfully done 0.1mm nickel strips onto 18650 batteries. The handheld probes do get quite hot.

Seems to work well. Sometimes it needs to be switched off and on again before it begins working again. It would have been better if the tips were user replaceable. Decent value for $41 I thought it would be relatively heavy but it is surprisingly very light... makes me wonder how powerful the batteries inside really are.

The product works well but doesn't charge to 100% via micro USB. It's trickle dissipation counters the trickle charge toward the 99% mark. It is safer to charge via lightning (not tested) or USB-C (tested) which works even better. Would have been cool if they included a manual or a link online to one. The wireless charging feature could use some insulation inside the box but if your batteries are covered it should not be a major issue. It slow wireless charges if not placed in a very specific way on the charger surface. Box gets VERY hot when wireless charging.
