2400 Lumens area lighting classes as downright useful, almost a 150 watt bulb. Got one, impressed, ordered two more. Light weight, works without a hitch, simple recharge.

My order arrived quickly and all units lit up beautifully. Out of 6, one had a touch switch, the rest were simply always on. I really like them and maybe like always on more for convenience in using them for my application. Just be aware that, for the time being it appears they are mixed up in the warehouse. Also, one came with a loose platic end piece, so be sure to check the unit and find it. I figure a dab of silicone will solve that. I am using them for off grid / emergency lighting with a USB power bank and the 7 watt 5 volt solar USB charger. Should be useful all night from a daily solar charge

I received this last week and set up various charging scenarios. Charging USB is a leisurely easy crank. Charging a 12 volt storage battery, on the other hand, takes a lot more elbow grease, faster and harder to turn. Very well made, looks like it should hold up to consistent use. You will need to use it at the end of a table or edge of a counter top so the crank can go above and below as it turns. Then hold the unit down firmly with your other hand. Thinking of maybe setting up a clamp arrangement with a wood block to hold it in place if I need to use it a lot at one time. Bought two more maybe as gifts for friends, maybe as backup. We'll see.

Bought one of these, it arrived last week but today was the first day with enough sun to test it. Living North of the 46th parallel the sun is low and weak this time of year so would not expect full power. Did not have anything in need of charging but had some COB lights with USB power so plugged one in. Very pleased when it lit as soon as the sun hit it. I ordered two more maybe as gifts for friends.

tirebiter Mystery solved. When setting up the photo I discovered that one had a touch switch (unexpected) while the other did not and came on when plugged in. So, I received one of each.

both worked well. Not sure how I use it. Very bright, but hard to get away from the glare. Probably best as an outdoor light with a USB power pack. Looks good and efficient for emergency lighting.
