This is a great power supply unit, I have used it to power mini amps and recharge batteries without any problems. Instead of using the official enclosure, I made my own which allows both 2.5mm and banana plug input, so I can use any old laptop power supply to charge batteries. I have let it run overnight many times pushing 70 watts of power (13.8 v @ 5.1A) without any issues at all to charge batteries, powered by a laptop supply. Also I have run TPA3116 boards (24VDC @ 5A) using a 12V car battery for power, and a standard 19v laptop power supply. For someone like myself with limited knowledge and funding for electronics, this power supply unit takes care of everything to learn and build with, I am extremely happy with this purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't already have a lab grade bench power supply.
