Some background about me to let you know if this review has any value to you. I am using this controller on PC running the OS Garuda Linux KDE Plasma V6.0. I am a female, casual gamer with average sized hands. I was currently using the PS4 standard Dualshock controller and have only ever used standard gaming controllers for the previous PlayStation consoles. I have never touch a “Pro” controller in my life. As of this review I have only spent a handful of hours with the controller playing Horizon: Forbidden West. With that said, this controller titillates me! It fits my hands so well, no trouble adjusting to the slightly different layout than a PlayStation controller. Everything from the caps on the thumb-sticks, the triggers, the click of the buttons and the re-mappable back buttons; I love it all from the placement to the tactile response. The vibration of the controller comes through very well, helps with immersion. I can change settings and button mapping for the rear buttons on the fly right from the controller. Best part of all, is I never felt for a moment that a button I pressed didn’t register, like with my old controller. I figured it was just my fault for not pressing hard enough or for pressing the button a split second too late, but it wasn't me after all, just a cheap controller! FYI I used my old controller wired in and this one I am using wireless. Changing the stick tension was easy. I have only 2 minor complaints. The screen on the controller does not shut off while inactive. I saw another mention the closest you could get was setting a black image to show instead of the flashy APEX logo screen. The other would be to have the controller ask your language on startup.
