The caliper comes in a storage case with user's manual and two LR44 batteries. Case is made of soft plastic which feels sturdy. It is also worth noting that the case doesn't smell, unlike other cases. It features a big LCD display & three membrane-type buttons. There's also a screw-type break and a roller for precise adjustment. The body of the caliper is hardened stainless steel. Display casing is made of ABS material. Although it has an ON/OFF button, it turns-on automatically when you move the slider. Slider moves smoothly and both jaws align perfectly. Only downside of this product is the sharp edges of it's jaws. The caliper switches quickly between millimiters, decimal inches and fractional inches at the touch of the mm/in/F button. Another plus of this caliper is that when you turn it off and back on without moving it remembers the last measurement. It also remembers the zero position. It can be used for measuring outside and inside diameter, height, depth, as well as an object's dimension (up to 150mm). I have put it to the test by measuring various devices, cables and hardware to see if it meets the manufacturer's specs. All readings of the caliper are very precise. It's a professional tool of solid build materials and high precision measuring.
