The package arrived today, at 5th of May (Less then 3 weeks!). Earlier than announced. The Step Up module power supply works very well! I'm happy! Only a small plastic corner broke off during transport. It does not matter. The packaging was unfortunately not padded enough.

For the past year or two, my projects have used power distribution from a central 12V solar system to local micro-controllers which use buck converters to drop the voltage down to the target level. Recently, I have been experimenting with using a higher distribution voltage (at least 24V for better wiring efficiency. I bought this unit as part of that project. My idea is to boost the voltage at source to 24V and replace the wiring project-by-project, and then upgrade the solar to 24V. Of course, I might decide to use a higher voltage, like 30V, 36V or 48V. This unit will let me experiment with all those options. The unit seems well-build and robust, so I'm feeling confident about the project, even though it's early days.

Questo convertitore è molto valido e affidabile, ne ho acquistato un certo numero, il primo è da 2 anni che lavora senza dare il minimo disservizio. Nel mio caso sono utilizzati con una uscita di 36v 5 A e ho provveduto ad aumentare il dissipatore termico in quanto quello originale con una potenza di circa 200W continuativo scalda troppo. Se si mantiene quello originale occorre un piccola ventola. Materiale ottimo ne consiglio l'acquisto. Nota personale: in caso di guasto il materiale di riparazione è facilmente acquistabile.
