Very nicely built hot air station. The blower is extremely powerful and airflow can be felt from across the room at 100% speed - most of the time you'll only need the airflow at 10% or so. The station goes into standby when you place the handpiece back into the cradle at which point the fan speed is increased to cool the heating element down. Heat-up time is around 3 seconds. The user interface seems to work well and allows for three heat/airflow presets or direct control of each parameter from the screen on the front. This is a very powerful hot air station which is seems to work well in every situation I've tried so far.

seller shipped item fast. station came packed safely, but there is little scratch on the lcd panel. heats up very quickly, auto-cooldown function works well. the ending of handle seems like burnt...the beeping sounds while setting the station is very annoing. overall build quality seems pretty good. i recomend this station so far...lets hope it will last long. thanks to the seller

I have quick 861dw for 4 years now so i can compare both of them and i tell you BST-863 is not lagging behind. You have to get used to lcd panel to change temperature or blow speed but in 90% you will use pre program buttons anyway so it is not a problem. Maximum blow intensity is a little bit lower then a quick 861dw (around 20% lower ) but you dont need that much anyway to solder or desolder components. Good product, fast delivery, 4 days. Overall good quality build but the enclosure could be smaller, a lot of empty space. Some 45 degree nozzle would be useful

The controls are responsive, and fan speed and temperature also ramp up and down fast. As others mentioned, the constant beeping when changing parameters is quite annoying, so I will look into ways to turn the volume down.
