A slightly chunky appearance when compared to some slimmer AA torches, but still an attractive design. The threads between head and body have a bit of play in them but the o-ring here seems to improve the feel in actual use, but the threads could perhaps be a bit longer. Works with both AA NiMH and a li-ion, tried a protected Nitecore 14500 which fitted - note that the positive contact on the circuit board is just flat, with a spring at the base of the battery tube. The led pill is easily removable, uses a plastic TIR optic that sits directly on the led (on a 16mm base) so presumably there is scope for replacing this should you wish.
