Q: Can it check the battery by only connecting the balance plug, without a power plug?

catsndogs1965 Yes, no need for power plug just for checking voltage on the individually cells, but for charging you have to connect the power plug as well.

Q: After using happily for several months the screen goes blank when tuned to the channel that is transmitting. When there is no signal the screen shows snow as usual. Any idea what may be causing this ?

Den92 Seems like an issue on transmitting side, check you camera and VTX connection.

Works well so far after 8 packs on my 6S 5" quad, also did some aggressive flying and 110A punch outs. Flashed with BlueJay 0.14 firmware to enable 48 khz and rpm telemetry. Had to adjust the current sensor scale from 275 down to 70

Nice handy multimeter for general purpose. Cannot be used as a professional tool. Compared to MT99 has only one decimal number precision under 10 volts, but has a much better electric field sensitivity in power line detection mode. Both doesn't measure voltage under 1 volt.

NL_Hees No it does not have a current sensor. But on a small model like this voltage sensing is all you need in order to land in time (you are not going to sinking range flights with this)

It's definitely the best micro quad I've ever had! Very silent, snappy and responsive even on 2S. Excellent FPV experience with Runcam and OSD, hovewer it does require some modifications to work properly. Here are some tips: a) Getting flysky FS-i6 failsafe to work: 1. Receiver: re-solder WHITE wire from pin 3 to 4 (ibus pin which is left unused) 2. Remove upper VTX module and re-solder same white wire from PPM to neighbour R3 pin on controller pcb. 3. Open Betaflight configurator and do the following steps: Ports > UART3 > turn on Serial Rx Configuration > Scroll down to Receiver tab > Receiver mode: Serial-based receiver (...), Serial Receiver Provider: IBUS 4. Save and Reboot. Enjoy trimming-free and noiseless IBUS with working failsafe (I wonder why they haven't set this up by default). b) Display correct voltage in OSD: Just solder the blue wire from Runcam to controller "5-18V" pin (most bottom left, next to GND black wire). c) You may need to calibrate motors input range by downloading BLHeli configurator. I think those instructions are not obvious and should be put in product description or FAQ. Additional observation: only two ESC support DSHOT, even after flashing to the latest BLHeli 16.7 firmware, which is pretty strange, however they're working fine with MULTISHOT as left by default.

Good perfromance ESCs for mini quads. Used it as a replacement on 2S 130mm quad, works well on DSHOT600 without any problem. Beware: There is a positive and ground contact on different mounting pads, they should be isolated from the carbon frame if metal screws are used!

The image quality, colors and wdr are perfect, but the assembly quality isn't. It stopped working after a second light crash. There is no cracks, battery and pcb seems to be ok but it doesnt turns on, charge or get recognized anymore. It's light but very fragile (or maybe I'm the only unlucky one) and I wont recommend this for active fpv.

It's a nice cheap FC but has some serious design flaws: 1) LED strip does NOT working out of the box. I've managed to fix it by soldering the jumper as shown on the picture (it was not easy to sold precisely on pin with 0.3mm pitch without enough practice...). Don't try to remap in BF the led strip to D2 (where it should be), because USB won't work until you reflash in DFU mode. 2) When connected to USB with no battery, voltage from USB is passing directly on battery input, so BF thinks there is 1S battery connected and beeps a continuous alarm which is very annoying... 3) There is a strong noise on 5V bus, can be seen when connect the camera to it. Just soldered a big ceramic or tantalum capacitor to fix it. 4) There is no cable included for esc outputs, I had to solder off the connector and put a tiny wires in place of it. In overall, it's a good value and performance for this price. I've replaced picoblx with it on my Kingkong fpv egg 136 and got a lot of nice features: 1) Integrated OSD, finally I can use more expensive camera with no built-in osd (like Caddx SDR). 2) PIDs and settings can be changed through osd menu, very nice feature. 3) Blackbox logging, 8Mb flash memory, enough for about 3 mins of logs. 4) Full DSHOT support It's a good tiny board, cheap and with a lot of features, but it lacks a lot of quality control. Some users have reported gyro and BEC issues, but luckily I didn't found any. I hope they will make the second revision of this board with these issues fixed.

The only FC I would absolutely recommend to buy! Very high quality build, wise layout with a variety of options. You can connect ESC signal wires directly to the BEC board. The flat cable between FC and BEC carry 5V and signals for ESCs, Vbat and current. Do not buy it's cheap omnibus f4 no name counterparts as they will not last long (like mine sad experience, you can find hundreds post about them). This one has survived even when I shorted Vcc to 5V pin (actually Vcc here is Vbat), only burned a small capacitor on BEC which was easy to replace, and now it still working perfectly. Recommended buy!

True capacity is around 700mAh. Stable discharge, lasts about 5-6 minutes on Kingkong 130mm micro quad.
