This light is compact and yet very bright. The handle gently locks in a number of positions, so that you might be able to conveniently aim it where you want the light to go. It can take 4 AA cells (NOT AAA, like the description says) or 2 18650s. I am using unprotected 18650s and the fit is a bit loose, but it still works. If you have protected 18650s they should easily fit. The light has two brightness levels as well as a flashing mode. [[[ Would someone please go on a quest to find the person who thinks every LED light product should flash, sit him/her down, and gently explain that in most cases the flashing is a real annoyance? Please?? You will go down in history as some mid-level hero. ]]] It seems to be robustly constructed. Time will tell whether the handle will continue to lock in various positions after being used a lot. The on-off button is around the back. I'd find it more convenient for my use if it was on the top or side, but I can't have everything.
