First off, this is a CMOS camera, not a CCD. I bought 5, totally assuming this was the case as I wanted a lower power consumption camera for my build. It has the rolling shutter, image and bayer patterns of a CMOS as well as clearly being a single chip design. Image quality for the price is good. The form factor is excellent and the lens is decent at the price point. The resolved resolution of "1000TVL" is possibly a con but the contrast, shadow detail and shutter speed is good for a low cost CMOS camera. It has very similar performance to the "WDR CMOS CAMERA" Eachine used to stock. Power consumption @5V = 90mA. The newer units have improved this from what was 140mA and reduced image noise too. Images from Eachine EV100 DVR, that DVR records in a too-low bitrate
