As an aircraft maintenance engineer I use small flashlights all day everyday and am always on the lookout for a better inspection torch. This one almost fits the bill to perfection. The build quality is great. Torches with modes are always a concern because you don’t want to scroll through each lighting mode each time you want to use it. This torch has a dual button switch which uses one to turn on & off and the other to select the light strength. The torch always turns on using the last selected light mode. The light strength goes from weak to incredibly bright. The 90 degree head is awesome to allow light into inspection holes without the torch getting in the way. The only gripe I have with it and unfortunately it is a significant one the on-off button is the same colour as the torch body and is both small and flush with the body. There is nothing intuitive about locating it which means studying it to find the button and is near impossible at night when ironically you need some light to see the switch. This is a real design floor and needs alteration to take it from a great torch to an incredible one. I hope they sort this out as it would have me thinking twice about a second purchase

If you want a more floody beam profile with less throw, you should instead buy ROFIS TR18 XP-L HI V3 1100LM. Then you will need a 18650 battery and charger in additonal, because that light has no Usb charger. And is therefor shorter than the TR20 model. Cons are that the threads are not anodized and it is not possible to lockout unscrewing the tailcap a little bit. A good and cheap battery charger could be Liitokala Lii 202.

This is my second Rofis and they did not let me down. This light is small enough to use as an EDC and still bright enough and durable enough to use on the job. I have been using it on my job and it works great for what I do. The magnet on the bottom means all I have to do is stick it to a metal beam or plate and then just angle the light so I can see my work area. It keeps me safe in closed spaces and allows me to see all of the machinery around me that a lower quality light would not. I will post some pictures of some beam shots, starting at about 40 yards out to well over 100 yards.You get everything you need, the TR20 light, a very nice belt holster (not one of the cheap ones these are nice, a belt clip, lanyard, an extra cover for the USB charging port, and a high quality 18650 lithium ion battery.
