Not waterproof -- all parts screwed to main body plate (ie each lens and the back cover plate, plus cable entry) do not have gasket or sealant. Definitely not suitable for boat trailer. Light would not last long if full of sea-water. I'll be using silicone sealant on all the joining surfaces and screw holes, plus the cable entry. After sealing I shall be able to use a hose on my truck lights again. There had been an assembly error with one of the internal circuit boards, but it had been corrected in a suitable manner. I've seen brighter, but they're bright enough.

Oh boy... If you are into repairing, electronics and soldering: go ahead and buy this unit. If not, don't buy these units. Both units had internal loose screws. One unit had a broken wire. Wires of low quality. Absolutely not submersible. With the used electronics, the brightness of the leds is very bad on low voltage. Only full brightness at 13.8 volt and none at 11.5 volt. When using as taillight, you might have only 11.5 volt left at the end of the vehicle due to cable losses. I changed the resistors and the electronic circuit so only 3 leds are in series instead of 6 which lead to a more consistent brightness. I removed the existing wires and soldered new ones onto the units. But they look great. That's the only positive thing to tell... On the picture you see it installed on the RV bike rack.
