This charger seems to work OK, very similar to other modern chargers, but at a low price. When connected to a battery that has charge, without being plugged in to AC, displays ambient temperature and battery voltage. When plugged into AC, charger performs bulk charge quickly (8A for 12V battery), then shuts off. It does not change to a maintenance voltage. Rather, it will wait for battery voltage to decline, and then tops off battery. In that mode, battery voltage is not displayed. Just says "OFF". I have not tested it on AGM or gel-cell batteries, or with a sulfated battery where the pulse recovery feature is used. Fan operation is automatic. The touch mode control works fine. The case is rather flimsy and the unit is not in any way water-resistant. Both the AC power cord and the battery cable are very short. When using with a flooded-cell battery, where out-gassing is possible, I recommend using an extension cord so that the unit can be unplugged at a distance. The manual is not particularly helpful.
