Flies wonderfully straight out of the box. The stabilization on these mini warbirds is like magic. It is pretty much impossible to lose control of the plane when you have the gyro switched on - if you ever feel you're in trouble, you can just take your hands off the sticks and as long as the plane has some throttle it'll level itself out. Flying it is super easy and intuitive, and it maneuvers and handles very well. I recommend keeping the gyro on the "intermediate" mode - the "beginner" mode is nice, but it doesn't bank very deeply and turns are very wide - on the intermediate mode you can bank sharply and give it some elevator and it'll whip around nicely. It is possible to fly with the gyro off, but it's tricky and liable to get unstable. Even when the gyro is off, if youre ever in trouble you can just switch the gyro back on mid air and the plane will level itself out. The Zero has a lot of wing, and I find with this particular model, it glides very well. Landing is super easy, you can literally just shut off the throttle and glide the plane down to the ground. It floats and hangs in the air nicely, and can get going pretty fast when you throttle it up. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable, easy to fly RC plane that isn't too simplistic and limited like a 3 or 2 channel plane is. Shipping was fine. It took about ten days to get to where I am on the East Coast, which was exactly what was predicted when I placed the order. The box arrived well taken care of - there were no signs of mishandling and no damage whatsoever.
