I tried it with 10m cable. UTP cat5e gave degraded picture so it is necessary to use cat6 cable.

Holly sh*t, that really works!!! Will order more of them. Just a cheap ass network cable ... much betetr, then these hdmi cables with dropouts when cable is too long. GREAT!!! Would be a dream, if there would bo different adapters, so you can connect from hdmi to vga or dvi and so on. Saves so much money and work. Allways the matching cables!

The price of this extender was good if it had worked for my need. This product looks good and works with some HDMI devices, however, it does not work on Samsung 4k Smart TVs. I intended to use it as a video repeater to transmit a remote video source to my HD TV, but the picture drops out repeatedly for 3 seconds after being displayed for 3 seconds.
