The Mobula7 is a great little 2S brushless whoop. it binds well and has very good instructions included with the model. The value is great with the included spare parts bits and the 6 way charger. Note that you will need your own power supply for the charger, as this does not include one. However, the 4 included batteries will get you up and flying in no time. The flight characteristics are great. Stab mode is perfect for some controlled flying indoors, while acro gives you the feel of a 5” quad in tight spaces. There are a few design flaws with the frame though. The stock frame is very weak and thin. It will break almost immediately on the first significant hit into an object. Definitely buy some spare frames of a higher quality to replace it with when the stock component inevitably is beyond repair. The buzzer under the canopy is a nice addition, but I feel that it fits better on the underside of the FC board in order to give better clearance for camera/VTX wires and tilting. Be aware that the standoffs for the flight controller mounting are taller than on most frames. As far as I can see, this is to add clearance between the camera and the board for easier adjustment of the camera angle. So, if you end up replacing the frame (which you will) then consider adding some washers to the two side posts only in order to gain a little natural up tilt of the canopy and create some clearance for the camera. The downside to the tall standoffs on the stock frame is that it leaves the FC a bit sloppy and free to get misaligned to the frame. There is too much space under the canopy. So, when you plug into the USB port on the bottom to change your configuration or setup, be sure to check that your FC is pushed back down flat in the frame. Otherwise, your accelerometer calibration will be off. Also, the fact that there are only 3 mounting screws for the canopy to the frame means that the weak frame will often be distorted and bent slightly from front to back. This messes with the thrust vectors in a way that causes the front and rear motors to fight each other a little bit during flight. The addition of a front mounting screw for the canopy would help eliminate this and give better power transfer and handling. The motors are great. The FC performance is really good. the craft handles well. 2S is definitely a sweet spot for brushless whoops in this size class. Overall it is a great drone that needs a few design improvements to really send it out of the park, but definitely a model that I will recommend to anyone who needs a good winter indoor flyer or someone who is just getting started.
