Q: Why do we pay for shipping insurance when we can't claim on it!? My order 61218918 has been lost at the couriers depot, I have had a few conversations with the courier Yodel via webchat and kept getting apologies and "We will forward on your concerns to you Depot" so I got fed up with the same old replies and decided to drive out to the depot to find out what is happening as my item was meant to be delivered over 3 days ago according to the tracking I have been following on their website, I was told the item was scanned into the depot but has since gone missing and they cannot find it and that the contract fro delivery is between Banggood and the couriers so its upto banggood to sort it out by sending a replacement then claim from Yodel, I contacted Banggood to try to explain this but there seems to be difficulties due to the language barriers but in the end I am not sure this will be sorted out, all I want is my item! I have paid insurance for the shipping so I should be resent my item straight away! well you'd think so wouldn't you? but no! more delays, I am out of pocket and don't have the item I why do we pay shipping insurance if banggood does their best not to use it for a regular and genuine customer to get the item they ordered when it was lost by the courier? I am so frustrated by what is meant to be a simple procedure! If the yodel website does not update within 48 hours, you would need to contact the sender and follow the missing parcel process. The way our service works is that you have a contract with the seller and we have a contract with the seller. As such, if you don't receive your goods then it is the seller's responsibility to ensure they are replaced/refunded. The seller can then get in touch with us and if Yodel is deemed to be at fault by the terms of our contract with the seller then any outstanding finances etc can be resolved as per the terms of that contract.
