Mattofalltrades Thanks for taking the time to write a detailed review. I was thinking about this until you pointed out the tap wrench itself. not great. Usually they have an opposite jaw on the wrench that is attached to the tip of the adjustment screw.Not sure why this is, or isn't, rather, but all the dies should be split as well. The dimple is for the holding screw, but the slot should continue through to the cutout, to allow you to adjust the fit of the thread, tighter screw, deeper thread.

The set comes pretty complete for the price with metric taps and dies from M6 up to M12. Taps and dies are well manufactured and after some dozens of threads cut with it they are still sharp and precise. Keep in mind: I always use turning irons and never cut threads with power tools. A bit of lubricant onto the bits and they stay nifty forever. [MATERIALS] I have used the set mostly on aluminium with a thickness between 3mm and 8mm and some steel (3mm-4mm). No problem with occurred there, cutting was smooth and exact. [TURNING IRON] This is a weak point in the set. The tip is not made of hardened steel and it's a kinda tricky to lock the bits straight and tight. A better solution is ProdID: 1142435 which is made of tool steel. Great set, though, that I can recommend for everyday, general-purpose work.

Mattofalltrades I was semi-interested but if that's how it came....these are cutting tools. Rolling around loose in a bag like that is not good. I hope they work out okay for you.
