sesammases You need a licensed electrician to install this product. The black (carbon) film is dangerous to touch and must be isolated with electrical insulation tape. This item has pictures that shows the installation steps.

Q: What temperature can it reach?

Asked by cgdegroot on 2018-01-01 03:22:44

sesammases Max 60C is mentioned in some product info. People using this product said it goes to around 47C when laid out on a floor. If you use it in a cold place it will be colder because it never has time to warm up before getting cooled off by the surrounding. I have both electrical floor heating (similar to this product) and water based, both set to 22C-24C and covered with stone tiles.

Q: Can it be used by inserting it between two glasses?

Asked by dinomas on 2018-01-07 12:08:59

sesammases Yes. And then you can't see much through the glass, but the visual effect might be interesting. Also, someone used this product to heat a bathroom mirror so that fog goes off the mirror quickly, if that is what you're thinking to do.

Q: Can I use this under a bathroon tile floor?

Asked by zilarte. on 2018-03-11 07:21:09

sesammases Maybe. It would be dangerous unless very well isolated. Must be installed such that water can not short-circuit between the two copper leads (gold-shiny on the underside). I have a 12V version of this under a stone tiled floor, but this one is 220V which probably means it's a bigger fire hazard. Note: In most countries, only a licensed electrician is allowed to do any permanent electrical installations. Stuff Electricians Should Know!
