Q: How do you turn off the beep when a remote key is pressed?

The seller Hi, the sound cannot be turned off. When using the remote control, there are beeping sounds.

This is a great build kit and, once completed, produces a very nice clock display. The sound graph feature works well and is an added bonus. You'll get lots of solder practice with this kit; for the LEDs, you'll need lots of light, a magnifyer and a good set of tweezers. I recommend pre-tinning one of the LED pads then soldering that end while holding the LED in the correct orientation with the tweezers. I would also pre-tin all ICs and pin one on the PCB for each. Soldering the ICs requires care and diligence to avoid major troubleshooting during initial screen tests. The rest of the components are relatively easy, however pre-tinning one solder pad for the SMT resistors and caps does help. I recommend adding sleeving or heat-shrink tubing to the leads on both the CdS and temp sensors and leaving the leads bent but full length, so you can adjust their final protrusion beyond the case after assembly; this will greatly improve their sensing accuracy. Lastly, the finished product tips easily; I recommend adding 14" risers in front and corresponding buttresses in the rear to make it more stable. These can be thin plastic installed with a glue gun; easy and a feature you won't regret adding.

This is a really nice product! Modular build and works very well. The only caution I'd raise is that it does not have a battery minder capability, so if you add a lipo (or similar) battery, take note. Overall, good value

This is a very well designed and compact light which is suitable for a number of applications and has reasonable brightness for it's size. The ability to aim light in three directions is a very good feature. I received my unit a n excellent condition and it performed very well after charging. I have not had it long enough to test for battery life. The remote works well with this light and similar product Xanex camping light products, which is another very good feature. Bottom line, excellent value for the price!

Nice product with huge potential to be an impressive unit. This is a relatively easy build for someone with intermediate soldering skills, magnification and a steady hand on a soldering iron with a fine tip. The disappointment is in the programming/set-up; between the vague instructions, the soft-switvhoft-switches and the confusing display I have yet to get my fully functional unit operating properly. That stated, the display is really nice and for those who have the patience to get it set up to their liking, they'll have both my respect and a nice clock/display.
