I've never had such a good air pump before. First, I was sceptical about the quality and performance in general. But I am extremely satisfied. To my surprise, the airflow's adjustable, too (what one would only expect from a pricy air pump). I've connected it with an additional airflow regulator (valve), the "Blue Aquarium Fish Tank Wall Air Bubble Stone Tube", and "Biochemical Sponge Aquarium Fish Tank Filter XY-2822 Biochemical Sponge Filter," and replaced my common submersive aquarium filter that generated too much noise and vibration (whole aquarium was vibrating 24/7). It must've been terrible for the animals. Now, the (54l) aquarium's free of vibration and noise and my pets can finally live in peace and harmony. And even on the lowest setting, the air pump provides enough pressure to operate a large sponge filter and an air bubble stone. I really don't get it why one should complain about the "noise" of this air pump. I guess the word "air pump" should say a lot (generates a certain amount of sound). I've expected a usually noisy air pump, too, but this one is the total opposite. I can totally live with it. It stands in the living room with the highest setting and you can still hear the sponge filter bubbling. Though, I wouldn't mount an air pump in the bedroom (anyway, duh). Ah and the soft rubber feet take a lot of the vibration off, too.

As stated, this pump is powerful enough for a big aquarium, but not really silent, first one came broken but was replaced quickly. Great value for money, but dont expect to have it in the same room if you watch TV late at night
